my dream puzzle! Jan 23, 2009
By D. Read
"not so dread-ful"
I love this puzzle! Then again, I love "collecting" license plates while driving too. Could barely pry myself away to deal with other life responsibilities while it sat on the table unfinished.
The cut of many pieces seems custom-selected to challenge the eye. And numerous pieces have a nearly-straight edge, yet still end up "in the middle", rather than on the border. But every piece interlocks with another on at least one side. The unusual border shape compounded
the complexity, yet the variety of colors across the states helped me prevail. Also, I like that the some states use current plate designs, while others use "vintage" ones (for example, from 1942 or 1965).
When "done", I discovered my puzzle was initially missing 2 pieces, but I received excellent service from manufacturer via e-mail and US mail. So I now have a complete success.
Small initial packaging complaint, about 10 pairs of pieces were still connected when I opened the bag. I don't do puzzles often enough to know if this is normal.
Conclusion, I'm ready for an encore; join me in asking for another edition using different plates!

Geographer's Delight Jan 18, 2012
By Lisa M. Schulz My husband and I are geographers and excited by all things map. Jigsaws are not my usual thing, but this one was intriguing. I love the jagged coastal and internal borders! Makes it more of a challenge than a frae puzzle. The lisence plates overlap... so this one should be a bit more difficult than the others in the TDC series. That's a bonus. Don't let a German Shepard with a sweeping tail anywhere near this puzzle while you're working on it!

Quality puzzle!!! Oct 07, 2011
By GinDz I didn't even buy this puzzle on Amazon, but I just finished it and had to review it. The cashier at the store said it was one of the hardest puzzles she's ever done. It didn't take me very long to piece it together, but it was very entertaining matching all the different colors and letters together. I don't enjoy puzzles that have so much of the same color that I lose my mind trying to put it together.
The puzzle pieces for mine fit together perfectly and very snug. In fact, that is the pro and the con of this puzzle. After I was finished, I was able to pick the entire thing up. I could've hung it on the wall without any glue whatsoever. When placing it back into the box, I had to literally disconnect every single piece because shaking it and bending it did not work. I didn't mind though. I look forward to doing this one again one of these days, and purchasing the "flowers of the USA" one at a later time.

A Puzzling USA Jan 18, 2009
By Marion J. Bay This puzzle puzzle was specifically purchased to use in the school library. Students and staff alike enjoyed working on it. The colors are distinct enough to make it challenging but not too difficult. No one became discouraged and everyone was excited to see it completed. It was one puzzle where the perimeter appeared as it was assembled, no sharp corners here.

A jigsaw challenge Dec 16, 2008

"shopping for others"
This puzzle was a challenge but fun to do. The peices are odd shapes and there is no straight border so that made it hard to figure out. I sadly was missing a peice so I was not able to glue it as planned.
