5YE OLDE GENERAL STORE, NEW AQUISITION  Sep 09, 2008 By Thomas Lyman "Thomas"
I never owned a White Mountain jigsaw puzzle and happy I ordered one. In particular, this subject was fun putting together because of the mix of different colors. Especially challenging are the windows and the content on the shelves of the store. Another aspect, it was a 'painting' and not a 'photo'. The brush strokes lent to understanding how to put the puzzle together, a good hint for a 1000-pieces. I'm a middle to advanced puzzler. It took me four and a half days to put this one together. I like many of the 1,000 piece puzzles, but will look for more pieces, 1500-2000. I hope White Mountain has some, because their puzzles are very nicely constructed, not thin and not too think - just right! TO MAKE ANY PUZZLE A BIGGER CHALLENGE, ASSEMBLE WITHOUT STUDYING THE PICTURE ON THE BOX! Shipping was gr8!

5Fun puzzle  Aug 08, 2011 By J. A. Grim "meteorologist"
There is a lot of detail in the painting, which makes this a fun puzzle. Not particularly difficult, but not easy either.

5WANT TO BE CHALLENGED?  Jan 21, 2011 By AL
This puzzle is very well made, the pieces are a good size & are well cut. It is
one of the most difficult puzzles we have attempted. Many different parts are a
similar color. Great picture, but a large challenge. This is one that is not likely
to be finished quickly.

5Never Boring  Jan 28, 2011 By Cricket
White Mountain Puzzle pieces are made in a nice variety of shapes so that even in monotonous scenes one can still often find the piece based upon its shape. All pieces are large and firm enough to handle, and they fit well and stay together very nicely.
`The Olde Trading Post' puzzle is difficult enough to be challenging and testing, yet easy enough to retain interest. The subject contains plenty of variety with very few monotonous areas. It is so filled with detail and variety that we keep making new discoveries as the puzzle is being completed. It can be difficult and frustrating, but never boring.

3Jigsaw puzzle  Dec 17, 2011 By O. Smith
This is a very frustrating puzzle to do. The picture is done in "impressionist" style and is fuzzy making it almost impossible to tell where a piece should be placed. My husband and I work on these together and agreed that we like challenging puzzles but that this was so irritating we would never do it again. We have done many other puzzles but never known one to be so continuously annoying!
